We’ve just released our first video “clip” on the Sakro Sawel YouTube channel. You can find it in this post. From here on we’ll be releasing clips regularly.
Our first clip is all about out-of-body experiences in ancient Norse tradition, and answers the question: Did the ancestors of the Vikings practice astral projection?
It’s a segment from a longer video already on the channel.
Clips are smaller parts of videos that have already been released. It’s common to find channels making clips of interesting tidbits from longer discussions. Even though long videos can give a great deep dive into topics, there are also small topics within those that are nice to watch in themselves. Sometimes these nuggets of information can get a bit lost in a long presentation. So that’s why we’ve decided to release clips from them.
We’ll continue to make longer videos, and are working on the next long form video at the moment. But we’ll drop clips on the channel in between, while we keep working to produce new content.
To distinguish clips, we’ve added a border around the thumbnail, use the word “clip” in the title and on the thumbnail itself. We’ll also be making playlists of clips for those who’d like to hop through topics of interest.
I love the short format of this video. It is very dense in and of itself. It makes a lot of sense to me to break things down like this. The books and even the longer videos are so dense and I find that watching the short clip makes me want to watch the longer ones again and also dive into the books. Thanks for doing this.
Thank you Lara, Mark and everyone involved in this project.
This video gives interested and inspiring information and being short on YouTube helps to come across more people.
I also was pleasantly surprised. Thank you so much.
This is wonderful. Lovely to see your channel even more active. With the clips it makes sense too to have more content and more posting activity for Youtube’s algorithm so that more people will have the chance to find the channel.
Also, this is my favourite part of the OBE video. I’d never heard of the practice of utiseta before and it struck me at the time. How wonderful to have this in your folk memory, and only a country over from where I grew up. Our only ancient structures that I’m aware of with solar alignments were specifically seen as foreign and belonging to a different people, so we would avoid them. The fear (and sometimes the resulting hatred) of the unknown, strange, and foreign can be so strong. How wonderful would it have been if we’d had our own structures to be used this way, let alone had the concept of seeking guidance and help from gods through dreams.
Thank you Lara for releasing these shorter videos.
It really is great to see this information getting out into the public arena, as we all dream each and every night, whether we recall or not.
What a great idea!!
A novel way to introduce smaller components or topics of interest.
And, another format to explain the threads/connection with various past traditions.
That’s a great idea, Lara. I think it’s important to keep up spreading this information and getting it embedded into the wider consciousness. As if even that tiny bit gets spread into every corner of our space, like a lighting landing just at the right moment at the right point to ignite one’s being that seeks to come back home..
Love this format.
The AI image of the guy meeting Odin is really cool. Thanks to Erik for generating that one!
I agree Jon, its a nice one, added just for this clip it seems… I like how the guy really looks “contemporary”, and in contrast to Odin’s size and spiritual appearance. I noticed in the other new clip there is also a nice new AI image of a guy sitting on the ground in the presence of a shining angel. I have a feeling these clips are going to be popular! :-)
Definitely a great idea having those smaller clips as sometimes the longer videos can be a bit overwhelming for some folks. It’s also nice to see the Vikings and Norse peoples shown in a more positive and spiritual light as opposed to the violent raiders they’re often depicted as in Hollywood
Hello Owain,
I think it’s no secret that the Norse people have their own spiritual traditions, it’s just a stereotype that is generally held about the Vikings and those from Northern Europe for being “barbarians” as this was what the Romans called them back in the heydays of their empire. Ancient Greece is usually regarded as the cradle of Western civilization because of its accomplishments in various fields, and Rome being a successor to inherit all those treasures from the Greeks. It is for those reasons that the Nordics and their culture can sometimes be ignored. I’m not a fan of the Grecocentric theory that is held by some mainstream scholars,as it is problematic and contains many flaws. The true origin of Western civilization should be traced back to the greater Indo-European, with the Norse,as well as the Greek and Romans being subcultural offshoots of it. It’s a sad thing that many people don’t see the greater picture and rather just be immersed in stereotypes.
Hi Emily,
I agree with your comments on Grecocentric theories emphasised by many historians. This is unfortunate. Hopefully one day we’ll have a more concrete idea of where these great Germanic mysteries originated from.
We definitely have “edited” versions of human history told to us.
I agree, this is a great idea Lara! Not only these clips “advertise” for the long video, but also give space to some topics that may otherwise get overlooked in the longer presentation as you said.
I was thinking that maybe you could also release shorts, but not sure if that would work, as they may be really too short to communicate something meaningful in that short frame. The one that Booboo made from your interview with him on the Broader Lens podcast (about Ka and Ba) was great though.
I just saw the notification and was really surprised by what’s being released! It looks like you are really working hard trying to get the message about the religion of the sun out there via the Internet,as these days there seems to be a lot of people who are more comfortable with watching short video clips instead of informative long videos with the advances of social media. Short video clips may not contain as much detailed information but they can be really to-the-point! As Karim has already mentioned below, do you plan on expanding on to other platforms such as Instagram, Facebook or even Tik Tok to share contents about the Religion of The Sun? I think that would definitely reach more people and it’s also more convenient for many to get informed;)
Wonderful idea!! I was very pleasantly surprised today 😊
Yes, I was also pleasantly surprised to see the new video clip on YouTube yesterday, prior to seeing this new update.
These bite sized videos have the potential to reach a wider audience, by drawing attention to certain topics that may otherwise be missed in a longer video, as Lara mentioned.
This is a wonderful idea. Sometimes, a brief reminder is all it takes for a bit of inner uplift. I often watch the loner videos in segments because of the rich knowledge they provide, so shorter clips would definitely help with retaining information and maintaining focus. Thank you, Lara, Mark, and the entire team, for your continued hard work!
Thank you, maybe this is really the secret of Odin’s Runes, to be used for out of body experiences, they resonate so well as energizing/calming mantras and it is easy to visualize/focus on their images. I had 2 astral experiences related to the Runes, but only now (after watching your video) started to relate them to OBEs.
Many modern practitioners use Runes for divination, protection, meditation, even as a spiritual type of a physical exercise, but putting them within the context of astral travel, opens their meaning to a much deeper level.
Thank you again, and yes, it certainly makes sense to combine long in depth videos with short clips.
That was great 🙌🏼
When a sole subject is selected like that I did find just now, that it does put more emphasis on it. This is a well deserved one. And it’s much easier to share too! So that the thickness of the book or the length of the doc vids isn’t that much of a barrier. Great initiative.
Are you planning to put them on Instagram too? They would fit as posts, and could then very easily be shared and reshared as 30 second ‘stories’.
