Blessed equinox! It’s just over a week away now, and I know for many of you it’s time to start making the final preparations for an equinox celebration and ceremony.
I hope you have an uplifting equinox time, and get the chance to contemplate the meaning and relevance this time holds for the journey each one of us is on in our return to the Source.
Spring celebrates the power of the divine to defeat our inner darkness, while fall/autumn shows us how dark times are necessary for our learning and growth as souls. These are profound lessons that have come down to our times through the Religion of the Sun and the work to restore it.
Over these last 3 months, Mark and I have continued to work on the books we have planned. We have completed our major re-write of Ancient Solstice, and it’s now going through the editing process. Because it’s such a big book, this process takes quite some time in itself.
I’m probably just a couple of weeks away from finishing my chapter about Jesus in The Ancient Religion of the Sun. It’s at about 60 pages at the moment, which needless to say, is far more than I ever expected I’d need to write. It’s come as the result of investigating what connection the historical Jesus really had to the Religion of the Sun as much as I reasonably can. As it turns out, there have been many avenues and leads to explore, which has even taken my research all the way to Tibet, but not in the way you’d expect!
The Sakro Sawel website has also got a bit of a makeover, thanks to Jenny, Erik, and Dara. Work on the Religion of the Sun website is still ongoing. And we’re nearly finished designing a new cover for The Spiritual Out-of-Body Experience book.
Thank you so much to each of you who has supported us and the publisher these last few months. We appreciate your efforts, your support, and kindness greatly. We have such an important task, and it’s truly a blessing to have your there supporting our ever step so that it lands on firm ground and we can keep moving this restoration project forward for the good of many.
Have a blessed equinox. May your connection to the Spiritual Sun grow ever stronger.
Happy equinox to all!!
This was a special one. We did the Nordic ceremony and I really loved chanting the runes Uruz, Ansuz, Nauthiz, Eihwaz, and Kenaz. Highly recommended ;) Felt like such a boost and a kind of calling within. I was taken by surprise, I have to say, that it felt as powerful as it did.
I hope everyone had a great time exploring and connecting to the divine all around us. May this be a great cycle for us all until it’s time to perceive what the solstice brings. ☀️
Hope everyone was able to tap into the equinox energies around the world. Alex and I went to this beautiful hill near us for the sunset and did a simple ceremony. I’ve been feeling like I’ve been pulled into a reminder of the darkness recently, taking a job with children and young adults that have learning disabilities and other serious physical illnesses. It’s been a really sad reminder of the miserable states some people live in and quite a shocking confrontation with the dark sides of the psyche. Wishing everyone the strength to fight through their own personal underworld – especially those in the northern hemisphere!
Thank you Mark, Lara and everyone involved in getting this important work published.
I had planned to get away from the city for some time in nature to properly appreciate the equinox but unfortunately I fell ill and have been mostly bed-ridden for the past couple of days.
Wishing much love and strength to everyone.
That’s unfortunate, I hope you’re feeling better now. However, every sunrise/sunset is it’s own mini equinox in a way, so there’s plenty of time to connect with the cycles of the spiritual son/sun. Just have to get out and experience it.
Hi everyone, thank you for the equinox wishes, and I hope everyone has received an inner boost from this special time. In my case, there certainly was an unexpected, solid inner stir-up leading to the Spring Equinox, providing an invaluable reality check and a learning opportunity.
Also, thank you Lara for the update on your and Mark’s work. As always, I look forward to learning more about the Religion of the Sun and about the historical Jesus. Finally, thank you, team of wonderful people, for your continued work on improving the platform and making it possible for anyone in the world, who might feel an inner prompt and has internet access, to be able to access this information directly.
I wish everyone to find the inner strength to move forward on their personal inner journey towards the Light of the Spiritual Sun.
Dear Lara,
Your words really touched me.
It seems equinoxes are always a tougher times in understanding and self-discovery. I’m only understanding tiny little things yet so much struggles need to happen to get there. Sometimes it feels that the darkness is all ever encompassing and impossible to surmount. Bound to make mistakes after mistakes. And reviewing my understanding feels always like I’m back to square one. So this equinox sunrise for me felt like a relief, like out of something that was gripping me so to speak. It’s hard to put into words because it was such a tangible feeling and I honestly was not expecting to feel it. I had such a difficult night and as I lay in bed struggling I was not sure I was even going to be able to get up to watch the sunrise. Yet somehow when the alarm rang I felt very much ready and somehow strong and at peace. It was such a turn around to only 1-2 hrs previously. And when I saw the sun rising, I was so happy to be there and feel Its beauty, glory and energy and it’s not after a little while that as I stood in Its presence that I realised that what I was feeling had been relief. The sun, the light was turning a point into growth in the world and here there was a ray of hope that it could do the same within me.
I don’t know what my life would be without all the discovery and work you and Mark have accomplished and shared over the years. How different it would be though. So thank you very much deeply and may you both continue to grow and spread the light we so much need.
(As a side-note, really looking forward to all the book updates and been loving the changes to the website, it is looking so beautiful, refreshing, peaceful but also so meaningful with the new banner, invoking a desire to stood there with others and share in the veneration).
Blessed Equinox indeed! Sometimes, …and many times… the blessings are easy to miss, but for a split second I can just barely catch the gentle miracle of where I am standing and what I have been given and am once again awestruck by the devotion and dedication of the unravelling of the Religion of the Sun by Mark and Lara and everyone involved in setting up the stones and foundations of what is yet to come. Thank you. I am so happy to be in this place. For the clarity given in the books, videos, as well in the comments by Lara and others, all of which I cherish deeply, and I wish I could thank each and everyone for your thoughtful, heartfelt and sometimes extremely thorough contributions.
On top of everything there is the ongoing pull and development towards the divinity in the cosmos, in us, in ancient religions and cultures and in the Source and Spiritual Sun, merging with what I know, what I knew, where my understanding changes, what I leave behind, and especially what I do not know, and to build upon this spiritual revival amid a crazy, chaotic and compulsively distracting inner and outer world.
During a clear Sunset a few days before the Equinox, I found myself completely in an opposite place to where the last few weeks had been leading me. There I was in a new contemplative space, by a roaring tide and a dropping Sun. As though I stepped outside of a whirlwind of the crazy world and into the serenity of reconnecting with the Sun, with my inner light and the silence and strength of the moment. I was so grateful to what has lead me here, a place of new spiritual approach I would have never 20 years ago fathomed.
At the Equinox, we knew it would be raining at some point later on, but wanted to mark the day. Because I have had a bit of troubling vertigo, we thought a nice drive through the Autumn leaves would be well suited, and park somewhere by the lake to honour the day, even if we ended up staying in our car. Once we arrived the rain started, but the Sun, to our great surprise, was shining through the heavy clouds, I managed to make a fire with some paper covering the small flames inside a small fireproof bowl, behind us a magnificent Rainbow, and encircling us, our dog running joyfully at full intensity across the empty beach. It was a lot to take it, but I never enjoyed getting so soaked before, all while honouring the wonderful Sun and the impossibility of light amid the storm.
Happy Equinox!
Wow Olga, your equinox experience sounds so intensely beautiful and symbolic, thank you very much for sharing! The rain with the unexpected sun, improvised fire, your dog running happily, and on top of that – a rainbow! How amazing, it must have been quite a spectacle, worth to get drenched for. 😊 Hope you guys are doing well, and that your vertigo goes away!
Hi Lara and everyone, thank you for the equinox reminder and your wishes wishes. I also hope that everyone is able to tune into the equinox period for the lessons and strength that it brings.
Recently I had a chance to visit the Kernave archaeological site in Lithuania. I was so impressed by the site that I wanted to bring it up to your attention, because as far as I know it’s not featured in your books. I hope it’s ok that I write a brief overview here.
To give you an idea of the site, this is the view from the main viewing platform: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ERuqV3iZqLLu1AY3A My impression of the site was a mix between Avebury and Stonehenge. Its integration of settlement reminding of Avebury, while the winding river and the seemingly man-made hills reminding of Silbury Hill.
As you can see, the site is basically a set of hills and viewpoints on the border between higher and lower ground. Downhill views open up to the Neris river valley, which winds through the area. Uphill (behind the site) is the Kernave settlement, which (according to the local museum) has ice age roots.
The main viewpoint of the site is toward the river Neris, which is in the south west direction. This makes winter solstice sunset as the focus. I have not found winter solstice sunset photos, but from my own Google Earth checks, winter solstice sunset would be aligned with the main rectangular hill in front (the hill in the bottom here https://maps.app.goo.gl/XTCqbqzbxhsyWoho9) looking from the back of the main elongated hill: https://maps.app.goo.gl/p2u57QQE48YMKELy5
Interestingly, the closest location of the river Neris to the site is in the direction of winter solstice sunset. This parallels Stonehenge where the closest location of the river Avon is toward summer solstice sunset.
The religious group Romuva uses the Kernave site for some of their ceremonies. It is one of their main religious sites. Here is a documentary film about the summer solstice celebration in Kernave, featuring Romuva: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKlhCFL-e8c The following video is footage from the air of a more recent event: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAql4DC1y5I
From the ‘Site history’ (https://www.kernave.lt/site-history/) and ‘State cultural reserve of Kernave’ sections of the museum page (https://www.kernave.lt/state-cultural-reserve-of-kernave/) you can get an idea of the importance of the site to Lithuanians as well as some interesting visualization videos of its development.
What a nice site and a beautiful video of that Romuva celebration, thanks for sharing Aleks! Their language kind of sounds Slavic, but its not. :-) Also the jumping over the fire is something people do a lot on solstice in Slovakia. It just amazes me how there come certain people at the right time and started this huge revival of native faith in their nations, like Jonas Trinkūnas and his wife (the current priestess of Romuva). Similarly in Slovakia, we have Miro Žiarislav Švický who has established a major revival movement in Slovakia, as well as the regular and organized solstice celebrations. Together with all the academics and researchers that have researched many sacred sites, alignments, as well as other aspects of the ancient places, it seems like each of these people have been given a particular mission for the final, grand revival of the Religion of the Sun on this planet. 🌞 Sorry for diverting the topic a bit from the site itself, it looks like an inspiring place to visit, would be nice to know more about its alignments and its ancient use…
Thanks very much for your wishes and the updates, Lara, and to everyone working behind the scenes on the book updates and new website, which looks very good. The upcoming chapter on Jesus certainly sounds thought-provoking.
I wish you and everyone here a peaceful equinox time, whether going into spring or autumn, and hope it will bring with it inner learning.
Hey Michael, so very nice to hear from you again! I guess you just returned from your own, tough personal descent, and both Rajko and I wish you all the strength and Divine help to come fully on top of it! 🌞 💪
Hi Michael, so lovely to hear from you and see you back here! Your steady kind presence has been missed. I hope you are feeling renewed stength, hope and light this equinox.
Hey Michael! 🙂
It’s so nice to hear from you, brother. I really hope you’re feeling better. I wish you all the best.
Big Hug, God bless 🕯🙏🏽🌞
Wishing you happy and blessed equinox to all my friends here, to Mark and Lara and the rest of beautiful people coming here.
Thanks, Jiri! I hope you’re well and continue to connect with the Sun and this remarkable journey that we all are taking guided by the Sun/Source.
Wishing everyone an uplifting and meaningful Equinox. I hope it brings you closer to the Spiritual Sun and strengthens you on your journey!
I have found this Autumn equinox to be a meaningful time for learning so far. I feel a renewed sense of gratitude for knowing about the Religion of the Sun, as these teachings and principles help me to understand and use the events of my life to get closer to the Source.
Thank you, Mark and Lara, for continuing to lead this restoration project and for sharing your experiences and knowledge about this ancient religion. I look forward to reading the updated books. Lara, I am also very interested in seeing what you have discovered regarding Jesus’ connection to the Religion of the Sun. Thanks to all involved in editing and bringing these books into their final forms.
Thank you for the update, Lara. All the best in your work!
I wish everyone a connecting and uplifting equinox time.
Thank you for the update Lara
Wishing you and everyone here also a blessed equinox. I can’t believe it’s this time of the year already. Summer here was sunny and warm but recently the weather changed with colder temperatures, and many leafs beginning to fall. Autumn is here.
I took some time off work and I look forward to spending it outside and connecting to nature and the Source on these special days of the year.
Thank you Lara for your wishes!!
I wish to everyone a very inspiring and productive equinox from the deep of our heart and soul!!
Thanks for the update and well wishes for the equinox – right back at you and everyone else celebrating around the world!
Homepage update looks great btw. Good work to all involved.
Happy equinox to everyone! May it bring us all closer to the light 🌞
I had a dream the other night with many many people, lots of young people especially, it was the people that are waiting for the religion of the sun. America is going through an especially dark time at the moment, we need more love, compassion and light. I pray that the light of the sun can reach more people, people are ready for it more than before, I can sense a weariness of secularism, and a simultaneous growth in interest in Christianity and pagan religions. The work you’re doing creating a bridge between the different sun traditions, and the larger framework to understand them more profoundly, is so important, I can’t wait to see Christians appreciate Jesus at a deeper level because of it. Best of luck with your research, it’s inspiring to hear your approach, it makes me think about how I can be more discerning with other things in my life.
Amazing dream Julian. I’ve had similar dreams and so have other people too. In some of them it was especially young people who were interested.
It seems like there is a bit of a shift happening in attention too. I’m not sure if it’s just the things I see on youtube etc. but it seems like at least a segment of people (including younger people) are getting sick of and starting to use social media less, delete their accounts etc., perhaps partly because of the mental health and attention implications. There also seems to be more of a general distrust and dissatisfaction towards search engines, big corporations, and AI.
For all the benefits of AI I feel it is also quite dehumanising in many ways, and I feel like it could potentially lead people to trust what they see online less and less as it’s so easy to fake.
Meta have just released new glasses that have an inbuilt display that let’s you check messages, interface with AI etc. as an overlay on what you see in front of you, and which are controlled by micro hand movements, which would be the next step up from people always being on their phones and could lead to quite a strange, isolated world to live in if they become common and a lot of people end using them.
There also seems to be an epidemic of mental health issues, loneliness etc.
I have wondered whether all these factors seeming to reach a crescendo, as well as rising cost of living and all the other challenges people have to deal with nowadays, might lead to a increase in people looking for meaning in their lives beyond the everyday grind, and wanting to return to more human, in person contact, connection with nature etc. in the future. Hopefully part of that would be people finding meaning in the Religion of the Sun.
You summed it up pretty well Erik, I can’t even imagine what it must be like to be growing up in today’s world among all this technology, with things only getting worse. I have also seen intelligent young people at universities yearning for a simple life, some even leaving schools. Another reason for leaving schools seems to be too much time spent on computer games/attractions/addictions and then not having enough time or energy to deal with school duties. Whatever is the case, it seems that paradoxically, this abrupt rise in technology may cause people to search for its opposite, whether a natural life somewhere further from civilization, or even searching for a deeper, more spiritual meaning as you have mentioned.
What an inspiring dream, Julian! Thank you for sharing.
I really hope that’s the case. I always try to remain optimistic and cheerful because I feel so blessed to have come across this amazing and transforming knowledge, which is no more than our birthright and divine heritage, but as a Gen Z, I also often feel very alone and isolated because there’s no one in my life with whom I can really share this deep interest in spirituality. There’s a certain familiarity and consolation that I get from reaching into ancient wisdom, and if I feel that way, I’m sure there are people out there looking for the same thing.
Thank you very much, Lara, Mark, and the team behind the publisher and the website. Excited for the updates and the upcoming material.
I wish everyone a profound and blessed equinox.
Hi, Marco –
I just wanted to “like” your comment : ) I feel similar, that in times of isolation, it’s a solace to be able to turn to ancient wisdom and those like-minded souls who also cherish it. We are lucky to at least all gather here – and hopefully in person someday!
Hope you had a lovely and uplifting equinox.
Indeed, Zorana.
I hope we all meet up one day, and there’s a strange kind of certainty in me that says it will happen. It often feels like many pieces of the puzzle on many fronts are falling in place to pave the way for the resurgence of the Ancient Religion of the Sun.
Even that amazingly cool sound chamber project Dimi has been working on felt like that (shout out to you, Dimi). I can see how that can be something that could be available at future centers for people to experiment with.
I hope you had a great equinox, Zorana 🙌🏼
“Weariness of secularism” is such a good way of putting it, Julian. I’m also seeing that. Building in the background for a while but more prominent the last year or so. More and more people seem done with it and are more courageously speaking out against various forms of darkness that have taken root in society. So at least there’s that!
I also think of the new generation and what an experience that will be for them, to grow up in a world where an ancient and timeless religion is revived or in the process of being revived. I hope many take it up and use it to enrich the traditions they’ve been born into. Thanks for sharing your dream. Happy equinox to you ☀️
I also wish people here, and everywhere, a good equinox time.
That we may properly put the brakes on to other things ongoing in our psyche and lives, and be in inner silence… to take in the energy and flavours flowing through in the moment in that stillness.
Thank you for your continued work Lara and Mark, going to every corner needed, and for being there. And to everyone in their own journeys.
Dear Mark and Lara,
Wishing you all the best during the Equinox time, looking forward to the new developments of your work, thank you so much for sharing with us your knowledge, wisdom, and teachings.
Can’t believe it’s gonna be this time of the year soon and I still haven’t fully gotten used to the changing of seasons yet, but it’s sure a reminder of the cycles in nature, as well as the journey of one’s spiritual quest. To some of us the equinox is symbolic of being reborn from darkness after battling one’s own weaknesses and aversions, and to others it represents the descend into darkness for learning and growing spiritually. Whatever the case may be it is a great time to contemplate and reflect on one’s inner journey, as well as one’s connection to nature and the cosmos at large. Wish everyone a blessed equinox!
Thank you Lara for your equinox wishes, for highlighting the importance of this physical and spiritual event of the year and for the update of your’s and Mark’s work. Your recearch about Jesus souds so interesting, looking forward to read eveything new you and Mark write.
Wishing you, Mark, all the team and everyone a meaningful and very inspiring equinox, to really get in tune with the energies of this mystical event and to gain the understanding each needs at this period of their life.
Wishing everyone a wonderful equinox and lots of love :) it’s not easy to keep showing up but it means so much. Hope everyone finds some inspiration and peace during this time. And thank you Lara for the update, much appreciated and really looking forward to learning more about the new discoveries! Wishing the best to you and Mark.
Thank you very much Lara for your wishes and sharing the info about the new developments with us, it all sounds very exciting! It also seems to me like you have acquired some solid amount of info on Jesus’s life and his connection to the Religion of the Sun over the years, and I am really looking forward to reading about your discoveries (as well as seeing it in a long-awaited video format maybe? 😉)
Its autumn equinox approaching here in Europe, the weather getting colder, even though still quite sunny during the day. I am trying to really feel the atmosphere of this special time of the year, especially at sunsets, hope to experience some nice ones around the actual day of the equinox.
Wishing everyone here a meaningful and spiritual equinox in both hemispheres!
Thanks Lara, nice to hear all of the updates laid out and I’m sure it will be amazing to see them come to fruition.
Part of me is sad at the end of summer, but appreciative of the changing nature and challenges to come, as I know with each descent comes a later ascent as the inner turmoil is quietened and mistakes understood. Always helpful to keep this in mind.
I had some really welcomed challenges around this equinox and on the day felt that realese as the accumulated strength and the energies of it helped me stay clear and focused.
Life takes a whole different perspective when we see those “difficult ” times as something to cherish.
I wish everyone had whatever they need at this equinox and I hope the celebrations of these times will spread across every corner of the world soon.
Thank you, Lara, for taking the time to write an update and thinking of us all. I’ve noticed the changes to the website and think it is beautiful and inspiring, especially the embedded symbols and artwork. I’m really looking forward to the new editions to Ancient Solstice and the Ancient Religion of the Sun, and the new books and website. As always, thank you for your dedicated hard work.
Wishing you and Mark, and everyone at Sura Ondrunar, a peaceful, profound, meaningful equinox. May it deepen each of our connection to the Source.
Happy Equinox wishes to Mark and Lara, to the Sura Ondrunar team and to everyone in this community.
I have started on a 9 day ‘pre-equinox’ preparation this time, focusing on practices involving the Heart, with the aim to increase/strengthen/support my connection to Source and to my Being.
I am glad to be able to be part of this community and to support its mission towards re-igniting the ancient Religion of the Sun. This in turn helps me develop, grow and continue on the Spiritual path too.
As always, looking forward to reading the new editions of upcoming books, with the new research content, particularly the discoveries about Jesus. It seems Paul Wallis has explored this topic recently too. Here is the link – on the missing years of Jesus – hinting it might have been in India territories.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5imgmomcgRo
It goes for 50 mins and has some pretty challenging content. It was only posted a few days ago…
That’s wonderful to hear about your practice prepartion Dimi. I think it’s a great idea.
Interesting timing with that documentary. I’ve only watched a tiny bit of it, in which I saw that Wallis focuses on a text called The Life of Saint Issa, that was supposedly held in the Hemis monastery in Kashmir, which he relies on as proof for Jesus having traveled to India. As it turns out, I’ve just spent today researching and writing about it. I can say without a doubt that it is a fraud, most likely written by Notovich, who claimed to discover it. He changed his story and got caught lying. It’s been debunked for nearly one hundred years after thorough investigation by multiple scholars. I find it strange and sad that such a forgery continues to utterly waste people’s time. I will present the evidence in the book, but in the meantime I wouldn’t waste any time with poorly researched presentations like this.
I’m staggered at just how many forgeries and fakes there are in the field of religion/spirituality.
Yeah, there is so much forgery, pseudo-science and hoaxes everywhere! Now even AI on top of that, creating all those fake videos and “experiences”. Sometimes I think its a miracle to find some real pieces of truth in all this mess. Even inspiring works like Kolbrin contain fishy and questionable stuff, mixed in with some profound writings. Now this latest FFS discovery from Matthew, and of course, I still can’t forget how I got fooled by the fake Japanese epic! It seems to me that the only way through all this is to become really good at research and acquire some professional skills and knowledge in this area, being able to verify things relatively quickly, like what you Lara are doing. Speaking of Paul Wallis, even though I enjoyed his collaboration with Mauro Biglino (except of the “reptilian” part, which still somehow does not resonate with me), he has always felt a little bit on the “pseudo” side to me. Just looking at the topics of his Youtube videos a few days ago made me question the line of his research, which I think is a pity, as then it also casts a questionable light on some serious and well-researched topics that people like M. Biglino are bringing forward.
In terms of Christianity, these forgeries even start in Bible itself. As just a few examples. The Book of Daniel (in the Old Testament) is an ancient forgery. Scholars generally agree that 6 out of the 13 letters of Paul (in the New Testament) were never written by Paul, and are ancient forgeries. These contain many of the passages that put women down, and so they had huge ramifications. The letters of Peter are also ancient forgeries, and on it goes. Even though this has been historically well established, these texts are all still read by most Christians without knowing they were forged.
Wow, Lara, thanks for mentioning this, I didn’t know that such major parts of the Bible were ancient forgeries. It boggles the mind that millions or billions of people now at least partially base their faith on them, and how much they have guided people’s actions, as the Bible in its entirety is generally taken by Christians as the “word of God”. May the religion of the sun finally be the religion in the world that teaches pure uncontaminated truth.
Yes, I was shocked to discover this, because I had always just assumed that the texts of the New Testament were all pretty much accurate. It turns out they are far from it.
It takes an awful lot of work to get to the truth now because of how willing people have been to lie, alter, and misrepresent things from ancient times.
I echo your sentiment Laura, but from what I understand, nothing can be perfect in this physical world. This is not the realm of perfection; everything here is flawed in some way. So there will never be a pure, uncontaminated truth. But we can try to get as close to it as possible.
Thank you for sharing Lara, that’s indeed so messed up… It would be great if somebody like you, who has studied these things, and of course with Mark’s experience, come up with a version of “Bible” that only has writings in it that are genuine, and not necessarily just from the Bible as we know it now, but also other gospels from Nag Hammadi for example (like gospel of Thomas or Philip), and other writings like Pistis Sophia added at the end (as more advanced). It could actually be quite a thick book if all the unrecognised writings that are genuine, or most likely genuine, could be added to it. Then somebody interested in Christianity and what Jesus really taught could just pick it up, study, and make their own picture. It may not even be called “Bible”, but maybe something like “Teachings of Jesus” or something else. Each gospel or chapter would also have a source mentioned, so people know where it comes from (like Nag Hammadi or Essene Gospel of Peace, etc.), similarly as its in Kolbrin.
There are many scholars who’ve tried to do just that. But it depends what we mean when we say “genuine.” So there could be texts that contain teachings that are believed to genuinely go back to Jesus, or texts that were genuinely written by the author, and then there could be texts that contain things that are genuinely true even if they don’t come from Jesus. Mark would be able to give valuable insights into the 3rd type, but the first 2 are best handled by scholars.
When I say a text is forged, it means that it was written by someone claiming to be a person they’re not. So in the case of the letters of Paul, they were written by people who weren’t Paul, but who were claiming to be, so that what they wrote would be taken seriously. Unfortunately this is the case with lots of early Christian texts and with religious texts generally. Many of the Gnostic texts claim to be written by people who didn’t write them, like the texts attributed to the disciples. The Gospel of Philip is an example; it’s unlikely to have be written by Philip, but instead by a student of the Gnostic teacher Valentinus.
That doesn’t mean that ancient forged texts aren’t valuable in some way. The author is still writing about beliefs people held at the time, so in the case of the Gospel of Philip, it gives us an insight into what Gnostics believed. It just doesn’t come first-hand from the disciples, and may not be connected to them at all.
It is unfortunate but does make sense that there can be no perfect truth here in the physical world.
It is surprising that even in NDEs, which after all are spiritual experiences taking place in a higher realm and taught by spiritual beings to someone’s pure self, people may not be taught perfect truths, like NDEs that say that there is no hell or judgement. I suppose it is what the person needed for their learning at that time, but it is confusing. How can it be more beneficial to be taught something untrue than true. And then how can you trust even learning from NDEs knowing they could be this subjective.
Your efforts are so appreciated in uncovering and reconstructing whatever still remains of the true from ancient times 🙏
It can be confusing, and it does mean that not everything seen in NDEs can be counted as true. It certainly would be a lot simpler if spiritual beings just showed what was true in NDEs, and it’s possible they will need to adjust what they’re doing given that NDEs are now shared with millions of people, and are looked to as a source of spiritual truth.
I think that ultimately truth is most beneficial. But it seems that because souls are at different levels of development, they can’t always handle the truth, or can only comprehend certain truths. Perhaps it’s a bit like a child that’s taught using simple stories until it’s mature and able to handle a more gritty reality. If everyone were able to accept the truth, the world would not be as it is. So then people are fed what they’re able to digest.
What someone sees in an NDE also needs to have some relation to what they know in their physical life, and if the truth is not available to them in their life, they may not be able to process their experience. That’s one of the reasons why the work we’re doing is so important, because it widens the scope of what spiritual beings can use to communicate with people, and the more truth there is in it, the more spiritual beings can use the truth.
Very interesting, thanks so much for clarifying! The word “genuine” indeed sounds a bit more complicated…
Forget the “genuine Bible” then, let’s just focus on the Religion of the Sun, and then within it, there can be the Christian texts that are recommended by Mark, according to his knowledge. There could even be a little blurb by him at the beginning of each text, which could explain the text a bit, its origin, etc. Looks like I can’t help but planning the books to be compiled/written! 😂 Anyway, I just loved how Mark did those commentaries on different gospels in the past in the form of interviews and questions and answers from the listeners, they were just amazing!
I know what you mean, Laura about those NDEs and what people are taught there. I have been involved in similar subjects where people (or their pure self as you said) are able to communicate with the higher realms and it does seem each gets what they need at that point in their own development.
We spoke about the soul level a while back, and I think that is also a huge reason why different people get different levels of truth. It seems the hell subject is rarely mentioned to people or their pure selves, when entering those states of consciousness and i think it’s also related to the level one’s soul is on.
There are those that experience hell in NDEs but the majority don’t, which could also be related to the fact that the spiritual beings wouldn’t want to spread fear especially in these times when generally we are held down so much because of it.
This has been a very interesting discussion to read, thank you all for sharing your understanding and thoughts. So many points resonated with my experience, for example that nothing is perfect in this physical reality, and perhaps this is the way it is meant to be for many reasons. Also, that a number of ancient texts attributed to disciples of Jesus were likely written by someone else. I look at those writings as signposts: their main purpose is perhaps to redirect us to a more-or-less correct bearing, or to encourage us to leave our comfort zones, become active, and move into the unknown. Will every step along the journey be perfect? Certainly not in my case! LOL As some wonderful people mentioned earlier on these forums, I also often doubt that I have anything useful to share here, but then I feel that acting the best we can is much better than not acting at all, and on top of that, people in these forums are very understanding and forgiving :-) so sharing my own incomplete and imperfect, but experience-derived, understanding does not feel like an entirely inadequate and out of place writing :-)
Please keep sharing Slawek, I personally get a lot out of reading your comments, I’m sure others do too!
Same here Erik. These comments are really thoughtful and definitely deserve a thorough read.
Hi Lara & Lucia,
You ladies made some really good points here! I’ve heard of the story of Jesus’s journey to India before, and had been fascinated by it for a long time. I didn’t really know if the story was true or not, but I thought if it was then it must would’ve been amazing! I’ve always kinda felt like I was not a fan of mainstream Christianity, however Jesus felt like a great saint of some kind to me. I knew there was something fishy about the standardized version of the Bible that is used by most Christians today and the teachings that are based on it, but I couldn’t really tell what it was. It wasn’t until I learned about the Gnostic texts and how many early recorded teachings of Jesus had been excluded from the Bible and the problems with translations did I realize that the scriptures have been altered on purpose! I’ve ventured into the realms of the unorthodoxic and tried to figure out who Jesus really was, although my knowledge on the history of the time and place where Jesus lived was limited. There are obvious signs in the Bible indicative of the so-called “lost years” of Jesus’s life that are not being mentioned, and there are many theories out there regarding what happened to him during this period of time in his life that is not mentioned in the Bible. It can be hard to determine which of these theories are more credible, since they all seem outlandish and they can conflate one another. For instance there is a fringe theory that suggests Jesus traveled all the way to Japan and lived there for the rest of his life, there’s even a supposed tomb that is associated with him in the village of Shingo, Aomori Prefecture, Japan. The locals there really believe that it is the final resting place of Jesus, but I found it hardly convincing. There are also theories which suggest that he might have traveled to Europe to places like the British Isles to study and exchange knowledge with the pagans there, but I don’t know much about that. It looks like theories about the lost years of Jesus are all over the place, and it’s hard to know for sure…but since there are parts of his life with little to no mentioning in the Bible, it definitely raises questions as to why… It is startling to know how much faked stuffs are contained in spirituality, even outside of standard organized religions. While researching Taoism I also found out that there are more than one version of the Dao De Jing/Tao Te Ching in the original Chinese language, for instance the Guodian Laozi and Wang Bi’s version, with Guodian Laozi being the earliest known version of the text. I think there may be English translations of this version of the text available, you could look it up if you’re interested. The thing with these spiritual knowledge is that they’re passed down from ancient times, hundreds of thousands of years ago. The contents of such teachings can morph with time and the best thing that you could do to get close to the original teachings is to go as further back in time as possible. The earlier in time you go the less likely it is for some kind of spiritual knowledge to be tainted to a great extent. Separating later additions and forgeries from true original spiritual teachings can be a difficult task, but I don’t know if spending too much time on intellectual questioning would be worth it, since I think that it could get into the way of learning through personal experiences. Speaking from my own experience I found that doing too much of this type of thinking can get me into a kind of intellectual loophole that I would be trapped in, which doesn’t do much good when it comes to growing spiritually. It can be hard to put it into words but this is the best way I could think of to describe it. It could also be that I have some problems of my own of not looking into stuffs thoroughly enough, like although I know that I could read some of the spiritual texts in their original language, which be better than looking at a translated version, I’m caught in the mundane stuffs within my life a lot of the times and I guess I’m just someone who doesn’t like to read a lot in general(yeah, I can be lazy), so those could be in my way of understanding. There used to be a time when I felt more dedicated to doing research in a more thorough manner, but I guess it is now just my issues such as laziness that is getting in my way.
Hi Lara,
Many of us on this platform have been discussing increasing our individual efforts so that it helps us on a collective level, as we’ve noticed that when we pull together with our focus, it seems to help us. It is my contribution to that aim, to focus on the heart practices suggested in the Spiritual OBE book by you and Mark.
Oh My Gosh, yes…you’re so spot on! It has been tricky (a mind field at times) to decipher/work through the forgeries, frauds, and fakes to get to the genuine stuff. This platform makes it so much easier and possible to find long lost truths and help (those searching) to find direction.
There seems to be a type of ‘pop spirituality’ taking a stronghold, making it harder to decipher the false from the truth – just look at the FFS information that has recently been shared with this community by Matthew and you. It’s as though spirituality has been highjacked by money prospecting and/or profile lifting individuals, groups or institutions. Perhaps it has always been this way, but perhaps it is becoming even more so the case in our day and age (kali yuga?). Our society seems to be less focused on spiritual aims and truths and more materialistic.
I am so keen to read what you have discovered as I know you will research this topic thoroughly. You and Mark have referred to Jesus and his teachings in other works written, referencing works/sources such as The Nag Hammadi Library, the Essene Gospel of Peace, The Path of the Spiritual Sun, etc but I am looking forward to more details and discoveries you have made recently.
Hi guys, speaking of Tibet and Jesus, I just stumbled on this testimony of a Tibetan monk who has converted to Christianity after experiencing abuse in Buddhist monasteries: https://www.asiaharvest.org/china-resources/tibet/tenzin-lahkpa . It struck me how they supposedly describe Jesus as a “virus” that needs to be kept far away and not to even mention his name. Its a Christin website, so it could be biassed, but the man has apparently also written an autobiography, which can be bought on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/Leaving-Buddha-Tibetan-Encounter-Living/dp/1641231025
It seems that the sexual abuse in Buddhist monasteries is more and more talked about openly, so hopefully things can change. I even saw a Youtube video of a Buddhist nun openly asking this question to Dalai lama, only getting an ambiguous answer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBkFgyS-s_I).
Now of course we know that there is abuse going on in some churches too, but at least Christian doctrine is clear on this topic, regarding marriage as sacred, and only between a legal husband and wife, while Buddhist doctrine seems to have this fishy, ambiguous stance on it, like “Tantra is only for highly developed adepts” and marriage is rarely mentioned. On the contrary, they have so-called “consorts” that are not necessarily their wives (Guru Rinpoche is known to have had five principal consorts for example).
Gosh Lucia, this is so shocking, and yet I must say not surprising to me, as I had wondered if this kind of abuse was going on in Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, but I had never looked into it. It helps put in context the clip in which the Dalai Lama had asked a young boy to suck his tongue. If this monk’s account is true, it also shows what I had found, which is that some of them are working with demons and form part of the hierarchy of darkness. I am sure there would be many decent and sincere Tibetan Buddhist practitioners, so I don’t want to tar everyone with the same brush. But it is important that people realize there are these darker aspects because Tibetan Buddhists have been virtually seen as holy people by the naive West.
I really hope everyone here is able to find some time this equinox to cherish and connect with the Divine, the natural world, and each other. Well done to those in the south who have just been through a long and dark winter, may this equinox be filled with the blessings of spring. Good luck and strength to those in the north who are heading into winter, may this equinox be filled with the mild autumn gifts nature brings with it.
Here in West Australia spring is in full swing & nature is showing us its resilience and honoring the return of the Sun light.
Wishing everyone a reflective and uplifting equinox time.
I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone on behalf of the entire Sura Ondrunar Publishing team for all the support we’ve gotten over the past few months. Thank you so much! You guys keep us going and make what we do possible and it really means a lot to us 🌞💛🌟
Thanks Lara, wishing you and Mark and everyone here a very meaningful and spiritual equinox!
Thanks for everything you are doing with the work on the books and other projects. That chapter on Jesus sounds like it will be very interesting, and really looking forward to seeing the changes you and Mark have made in Ancient Solstice once it goes through editing and the new edition is available!
