Hi Everyone,
I didn’t really know where to post this so I thought I’d post it here. As part of my journey looking into my ancestors and where they came from, I found this Baltic music which I feel is absolutely beautiful. I really hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do…

Wishing everyone lots of inner strength and divine guidance.
Thank you Mark and Lara for your massive efforts and ongoing sacrifices in helping humanity. I would hate to see where this world would be without the valiant work you both undertake. Its the last glimmer of hope in a dying world. I am also really looking forward to your new book releases and exploring the practices of the Religion of the Sun.
I have been exploring different mountains in my area for equinoxes and solstices but I attended the last equinox looking out to sea over a turbulent ocean breaking on a rock shelf. There was a thin strip of cloud cover that stretched across the horizon which obscured the immediate dawn but created an amazing display. From the predawn grey to a sky ablaze it looked like the very sky was on fire. Once the sun finally peaked over the clouds there was a distinct colour palette changing through the sky with hues of pinks and purples I don’t believe I have every seen before. It really was a very beautiful morning.
Simplicity and peace were the words which can describe my experience on the spring equinox day. Basically, it was exactly as I was seeking to pass and celebrate the day and the whole feeling was like watering a dry flower. Many thanks, Lara and Mark and my wishes to everyone for a meaningful year ahead.
Thanks Lara, hope it was a special one for you, Mark and everyone aware of its significance.
Thank you so much for uncovering this amazing history & knowledge, helping us to understand. I hope all who learn of it can grasp its greatness, mystery and relevance.
I’ve been spending some time re-reading the relevant chapters from the “Ancient Solstice” book along with The Upanishads for inspiration. I find that the section which discusses Ra’s journey through the Duat/underworld to be very powerful along with the description of the Goddess Neith as an “opener of the pathways of the underworld”. This has given me a new inspiration and focus for my inner work as a whole as working closely with the Divine Mother is so incredibly important.
Later sections in the same chapter seem to emphasise the importance of navigating our way through our own inner darkness with a goal of gaining a deeper understanding of our defects, resulting in more light and wisdom which ultimately will bring us closer to our own inner being. I’m also finding that without a real ‘inner honesty’ of my own inner poverty, it seems impossible to move forward at all.
Beautifully said, thank you David
Thanks for sharing Dave, ill look that section up of Ra’s journey.
I know what you mean about inner honesty and poverty. Can definitely relate.
Thank you Lara!
Hope everyone had a wonderful equinox experience.
Wishing inner spiritual strength to all.
Happy Equinox Lara, Mark and everyone here, and everyone else too!
We went up Glastronbury Tor for the sunrise. It was moving seeing all these other people climbing up in the dawn – a little bit of timeless magic still alive today.
Thanks Lara for your warm and bright wishes and wishing you and Mark the same and much gratitude for all that you have both given to understand and celebrate these incredible moments, especially the Ancient Solstice book which give us the opportunity for personal experience and exploration.
I’ve noticed the equinoxes really do seem to exemplify a time of struggle between light and darkness, and also seeing things from a higher point of view, that being the Sun’s, as the Sun is the cause of the day and night being of equal length, and this helps to see things from a higher point of view, like putting things into perspective.
I also wanted to share that in astrology of the Egyptian calendar, the Sun’s path is known as the ‘Hero’s Journey’ which resonates for me with the meaning of the Spiritual Sun in Mark’s “Ancient Solstice” book. I think the word Hero comes from Heru, the Egyptian name for Horus, and it probably is the source of ancient and children book stories of the Hero (Heru/Horus/ Spiritual Sun) rescuing the pure-hearted damsel in distress (the consciousness) with the help of the ‘Fairy’ God Mother (the Mother Goddess). I thought this was interesting as it seems that there are stories that have come from the days of ancient Egypt, and perhaps from Atlantis before that, that have somehow managed to filter through even to this day, likewise from Hindu stories such as the Ramayana which also describe the Hero’s Journey.
So wishing you and everyone a wonderful equinox full of love, light, faith and courage :)
Thank you for the heart warming wishes Lara.
It was spring equinox here and we did a simple sunrise ceremony on a hill top.
The first thing I noticed when I stepped out of our city flat in the dark was the silence and calm. The sky had the most beautiful intense blush of pink when dawn came. The sun rose quietly and magnificently from behind the mountains in brilliant orange golden hues.
In my mind I guess I have the idea that resurrection is this big grand event that everyone notices, and I’m sure that esoterically it would be grand. But what I felt in nature that morning was a gentleness, silence, and deep, joyous peace, which was a teaching in itself.
Thank you Lara and Mark for the tremendous work you are doing for humanity. Wishing you and everyone the strength to break the chains of darkness whether in us or in the world.
Thanks for sharing your experience Laura. What a lovely example.
Thank you Laura for sharing your perceptions of this year’s spring equinox. It caught my attention as ours was almost exactly the same! The pinky hues before the sunrise were really strong and beautiful, and lasted almost till the sun started rising. The sky was super clear, and when the sun finally came out, it was this quiet and unassuming rise of a shining ball in orange-golden hues as you described. Peace and beauty all around, as the birds kept chirping… Only after a while I noticed we were actually standing under the blossoming alder tree, which reminded me of a painting a friend sent to me a little while ago. ;-)
I can relate to your experience Laura.
I was surprised years ago at a spring equinox to feel something about it that I didn’t expect. It felt as though the very nature of light itself was what overcame the darkness, and that nothing could hold it back because of the way it is. I felt no kind of triumph, or defiance, or dominance, in the way that we might think for such a victory over darkness. Instead, there was total power in the light but that powerfulness was complete peace.
“I felt no kind of triumph, or defiance, or dominance, in the way that we might think for such a victory over darkness. Instead, there was total power in the light but that powerfulness was complete peace.”
Lara, you have perfectly put into words what I was trying to express. That is exactly what I felt. Particularly the nature of the power of the light struck me in that it wasn’t forceful or yes, exactly, not even triumphant in that way. It doesn’t go out there to defeat evil like a super hero, but it just is what it is and that is its power and the darkness can’t withstand it.
It gave me a feeling of how that would look like in daily life, kind of realigned my understanding of spirituality. How the power felt like gentleness in that it wasn’t forceful or pushy like fighting the events and people around. It had no wish to make anyone do anything but was irradiating its own qualities, and that made everything change. Like connecting to and working for the light within that gives wisdom, truth, and love rather than trying to control what is happening around you.
Thank you Lara and Laura for sharing these experiences and insights – they really hit me as something profound to reflect on.
Beautifully expressed, Laura. I am so touched by your experience. May you have many more, with the light gently teaching you and those around you.
Best wishes to you and Pavlin. Sounds like a lovely equinox.
That was beautifully expressed Lara and Laura, and thank you both for sharing your insights and experiences, like Ella said its “something profound to reflect on”.
Thank you Laura and Lara for sharing your experiences of spiritual celebrations – they sound beautiful. It’s so different to have the feeling of the consciousness being active, away from the clouding of the egos.
Your experiences actually reminded me of a quote from The Gospel of John, which was referred to in Ancient Solstice: “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love”. Jesus doesn’t seem to be referring to any kind of triumphant force in this passage. But the force of love nevertheless seems even more powerful than any force in the material world, due to its power to overcome darkness, within individuals and within the wider world.
What you described Lara, made sense to me today in way that I hadn’t felt before. It is the resolution to all our challenges and difficulties that we carry within us and some from a very long time ago… ‘as above so below’, ‘as without so within’. The liberation of peace from all the ‘sea of troubles’, through the experience of peace itself.
Its interesting how disruptive and agitated the darkness of our inner states are and because of their force we can tend to react with force back to them as a way to stop them, but that would concede to their nature and not overcome them. I remember paintings of Arch Angel Michael slaying the dragon and his face expressed this peaceful bliss and its not until now that I can capture the meaning of this, and to not yield to force or power but to yield to peace. Thank you again to everyone who shared their experience, it helped me a great deal and I felt it as a life saver as this was the know-how I needed just in this moment. I hope the blessings return to you many folds.
Thank you Lara and Mark for all your inspiring esoteric information and understandings, I do hope these teaching spread far and wide and communities can start to form around the world breaking away from some of the madness thats happening at the moment
I enjoyed a really peaceful evening watching the sunset, praying and singing mantras, just a simple event
Wishing peace and understanding to all
Thank you for the wishes Lara, and for everything you and Mark are doing to help humanity. Also best wishes and lots of Divine help and strength to everyone here, may the Spiritual Sun and its beings guide us on our journeys. <3
Thanks, Lara!
I also hope that you had and are having a powerful and inspiring equinox time!
Thank you Lara; I also hope you, Mark and everyone here had a spiritual and peaceful equinox, wherever we each are in the world. I also wish everyone many more opportunities to experience the beauty of nature and its spiritual principles throughout the continuing year and beyond, and to develop the spiritual within.
Wishing everyone some of that happiness given to us in the moment.
And may time spent like that increase and open up to us more, I believe it will.
Many blessings
Thank you Lara for the wishes – I hope they will come true for all of humanity.
In the southern hemisphere it was an autumn equinox. To me it feels to be a very special time for finding a quiet place and time and to sincerely talk to the Divine, particularly to the Spiritual Sun, in whatever way one finds natural.
The tiny spark within also wishes all sparks on this planet a fruitful time for inner growth and for developing ability to pay attention to the Spiritual Sun.
Thank you, spark Slawek, and all the strength! :-)
Thank you both for the amazing wealth of knowledge that you provide through your books and videos. I didn’t have any elaborate ceremony for the Autumn Equinox here in Australia but I gained a lot from being in nature and watching the sunset from a nearby mountain top nestled amongst the pine trees. Wishing everyone around the globe many deep spiritual insights.
A very Happy and Blessed Equinox (Autumn for us here) for you and the all the team Lara! Thanks so much.
My husband and I enjoyed a very simple observance of the sunset, some readings and Om mantra. a beautiful time, with so much meaning.
We are so grateful to have the information from Mark’s book – Ancient Solstice – explaining the deeper and symbolic meanings of these times of the year. When you embrace them with this understanding they can be such a special and significant time for our development, no matter the struggles we face on a daily basis.
We also re-watched your excellent video – ‘Why pagans worship the Sun’ – in preparation and it was so inspiring and helped give so much more meaning to what we were planning on doing. The Autumn equinox is such a special time to go deeper into ourselves, really trying to understand our own inner darkness and free ourselves eventually from all those things that stop us from being able to experience the Truth and Peace of the Divine. It truly is an enormously profound adventure and you really don’t realise what you are going to be confronted with once you start.
I am so grateful to have what you and Mark and the team have shared with us, thank you so much. I hope to be able to learn as much as I can during the coming months.
Best wishes!
Dear Mark and Lara, than you so much for kindly sharing with us the teachings. Hope you have had a very meaningful and spiritually uplifting equinox time! All the strength to you to break through all obstacles.
Thanks Lara, wishing the same for you and everyone around the world celebrating the equinox.
A little late to the post, thank you Lara and Mark for all the insight you give through your work here, in books and across the web.
Like many comments here, I’m also truly thankful.
